Prescot Park Development

Over the past four years, E3P has been the lead geotechnical, contaminated land and remediation design engineer for the regeneration of one of the North Wests largest strategic mixed-use development sites at Prescot Park. The development comprises the delivery of a new link road, 700 houses, retail development and industrial units. E3P have designed the transformation of the landform from a split-level plateau, with significant industrial contamination and geotechnical legacies, to a graded contour suitable for the intended use.

The regeneration was fully project managed by E3P with full supervision, validation and warranty for all professional works to deliver the development platform maximising the net development area while minimising the need for any formal civil engineered structures.

Some of the notable features included the stabilisation of workings within three seams of coal and multiple mine entries, the design, management and validation testing for the movement and engineering of 1million tonnes of material, recovery and re-processing of aggregates and treatment of all contamination issues.
